Anderson Silva is a Brazilian mixed martial artist born in Curitiba, Brazil. He is known for his muay-thai striking although he also holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which was awarded by Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira.
Anderson Silva spent most of his career with the notorious Brazilian training camp known as Chute Boxe. However in 2007 Silva left Chute Boxe and settled in with the MMA camp known as Casa Preta, or "Black House".
