Rani Yahya is a Brazilian mixed martial artist whose introduction to combat sports came via Brazilian jiu-jitsu. Yahya is an elite grappler, having won his weight class at the biannual Abu Dhabi Combat Club World Submission Grappling Championships in New Jersey in May 2007, an event in which he beat Hawaiian grappling star Baret Yoshida in the semifinals.
Though born in the Brazilian capitol of Brasilia, Rani Yahya currently fights out of San Diego, California.
