Tim Sylvia made his debut in the UFC in 2002, after moving to train with Pat Miletich in Iowa two years earlier. Eventually Sylvia would go on to become the heavyweight champion of the UFC in 2003. He lost the belt in a contest against Andrei Arlovski, and won it back again in 2006. In 2007 Tim Sylvia was defeated and lost his title to Randy Couture, a legend in mixed martial arts.
