UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Rodrigues Betting Odds

UFC Fight Night: Cannonier vs. Rodrigues Main Card

Jared Cannonier vs. Gregory Rodrigues

Most of the early money has come for Rodrigues, who showed that he’s still a legitimate title contender.

The 32-year-old scored a knockout win over Brad Tavares last year before beating Christian Duncan by decision in July. Having had seven months off the scene helps his cause, which is why he’s the –200 favorite to beat Cannonier.

One of the more dangerous fighters in the middleweight division, Cannonier always poses a winning threat. However, the 40-year-old isn’t getting any younger, and he comes off consecutive losses in 2024.

Given their current form, Rodrigues is going in the right direction, and we’re happy to back him at the current odds in the main event. His odds are likely to shorten, so include him in UFC parlays.

Prediction: Gregory Rodrigues by KO

Calvin Kattar vs. Youssef Zalal

Kattar hasn’t won in the UFC since 2022, when defeating Giga Chikadze, and he lost to Josh Emmett, Arnold Allen, and Aljamain Sterling in subsequent fights.

He hasn’t faced easy opponents throughout his career, and Zalal is no different. Zalal won all three fights in 2024 by submission, and he’s one of the best submission artists in the UFC despite going largely under the radar.

The 28-year-old had a rough 2021 when losing to Choi Seung-Woo and Sean Woodson, but he has since turned his career around, and we’re backing him to hand Kattar another loss.

Prediction: Yousseff Zalal by Submission

—-

Edmen Shahbazyan vs. Dylan Budka

Shahbazyan is a quality fighter, and he showed that when he knocked out AJ Dobson last year. However, he needs to bounce back after being submitted by Gerald Meerschaert.

Most of his losses have come against quality fighters, typically much better than Dylan Budka. The 7-4 fighter hasn’t had the best of times since arriving in the UFC, going 0-2 with losses to Cesar Almeida and Andre Petroski.

Beating Shahbazyan could be a step too far for the younger fighter, and we’re happy to take the odds for Shahbazyan to score a convincing victory.

Prediction: Edmen Shahbazyan to KO

Ismael Bonfim vs. Nazim Sadykhov

Nazim Sadykhov has made a good impression since coming through Dana White’s Contender Series, going 2-0 in the UFC when beating Evan Elder and Terrance McKinney.

We were impressed by his win over McKinney, which came by second-round submission. It shows that he’s good enough to handle Bonfim, who is 20-4 after beating the tough Vinc Pichel by decision in May last year.

We don’t expect bookmakers to have much between Bonfim and Sadykhov, and we pick Sadykhov to remain unbeaten in the UFC. He has a good level of upside, and he could come through his most brutal fight to date.

Prediction: Nazim Sadykhov by Decision

—-

Rodolfo Vieira vs. Andre Petroski

Rodolfo Vieira comes off a submission win over Armen Petrosyan, and that’s the best form guide for this fight. He won in the first round against a solid fighter, which should give him plenty of confidence to handle Andre Petroski.

Petroski defeated Dylan Budka and Josh Fremd last year, which followed a loss to Jacob Malkoun. It was a good bounce back after getting knocked out, so credit to the 33-year-old for getting back in the middleweight hunt.

However, Vieira is our top pick for this fight. He has wins over dangerous fighters, and Petroski could be there for the taking.

Prediction: Rodolfo Vieira by KO

—-

Connor Matthews vs. Jose Delgado

Connor Matthews needs to recover from getting knocked out by Dennis Buzukja, and now he fights 8-1 Jose Delgado.

There isn’t much between them, but with experience in the UFC, we’re including Matthews in our UFC Fight Night picks.

It could go the distance for Matthews to win a decision, so place a small wager on him in the first main card fight.

Prediction: Connor Matthews by Decision
