UFC 313 Betting Odds

UFC 313 Main Card

Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev Prediction

The main event is a tough one to predict, and bookmakers have Pereira as the slight favorite at –125, with Ankalaev at –105. However, we believe bettors get value odds for the current champion, who hasn’t looked like being beaten since getting the title.

Pereira might be the older fighter by five years but he hasn’t been in the UFC long, and he still has the drive to keep winning. His win over Khalil Rountree was exceptional, and he weathered the early storm to dominate and eventually finish the American in the fourth round.

Ankalaev is his trickiest opponent in the light heavyweight division, but despite the Russian being 20-1-1, Pereira presents a challenge he’s yet to face. Pereira is the bigger puncher and he’s good at keeping the fight on the feet, so we’re locking in Pereira at –125.

Prediction: Alex Pereira by Decision

Justin Gaethje vs. Dan Hooker Prediction

Hold onto your hats, as this fight could be epic! Gaethje and Hooker are known for giving everything they’ve got with reckless abandon.

Hooker bounced back into title contention with a win over Mateusz Gamrot last year, albeit a contentious decision from the judges. Hooker was taken down five times and had fewer total strikes, but he was due some luck in the Octagon.

Gaethje has been involved in some of the more bruising fights in history, notably his BMF title fight against Max Holloway, which saw Gaethje knocked out with one second left in the fifth round. He’s a slugger, and we think he’ll be too classy for Hooker.

Hooker’s length could give Gaethje some problems, but he’s a fighter who doesn’t mind closing the gap despite the risk.

Prediction: Justin Gaethje by KO

Jalin Turner vs. Ignacio Bahamondes Prediction

We don’t expect there to be much between Turner and Bahamondes, with both fighters owning excellent knockout power.

Bahamondes has been impressive recently with KO wins over Manuel Torres and Christos Giagos. He needed only four minutes to get a KO win over Torres, who was 15-3, so that was a stylish win for the Chilean.

Turner, on the other hand, needs to rebound after getting knocked out by Renato Moicano. Our biggest worry for Turner is his eight losses, and they take their toll as you get older.

Bahamondes is the fresher-faced fighter, so we’re backing him to win.

Prediction: Ignacio Bahamondes by KO

Amanda Lemos vs. Iasmin Lucindo Prediction

Bookmakers have found it tough to split Amanda Lemos and Iasmin Lucindo as well in what should be a tough three-round fight.

Lemos has been near the top of the strawweight division throughout her UFC career, but she’s 37 years old and Lucindo could be a rising star at just 23. Lucindo was too good for Marina Rodriguez last year, mostly because she landed three takedowns.

If Lemos gets taken down, Lucindo will control the fight and win the round. That’s where she has the advantage, and getting +100 for Lucinda is a fair price.

Prediction: Iasmin Lucindo by Decision

—-

King Green vs. Mauricio Ruffy Prediction

Mauricio Ruffy is the firm favorite to dethrone King Green, and it’s not hard to see why. Green was submitted by Paddy Pimblett at UFC 304, and it was an uninspired effort.

Green is seemingly happy to collect a paycheque at this stage of his career, and coming up against 28-year-old Ruffy, who is 2-0 in the UFC, won’t be an easy task.

Ruffy knocked out Jamie Mullarkey at UFC 301 before winning a close decision against James Llontop. He defended the takedown well, and he’s worth including in UFC parlays at skinny odds.

Prediction: Mauricio Ruffy by Decision
