Robert Whittaker vs. Reiner de Ridder
There is a level of respect given to former champions, but we have seen many former champions in this division suffer defeats in 2025, including Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland.
It’s one of the toughest UFC divisions, and although Whittaker is a proven winner against some of the best to ever step foot in the UFC, we think his time might have come.
Step in Reiner de Ridder, who comes off a KO win over Bo Nickal, who had looked unbeatable before that fight. It was a statement win for the Dutch fighter, and although he hasn’t faced the same level of fighters as Whittaker, he’s the star on the rise.
Bettors get +130 odds for de Ridder to take the win.

Petr Yan vs. Marcus McGhee
Based on their recent UFC results, this should be a comfortable fight for Petr Yan. He’s another former champion fighting on the UFC Fight Night card, and Marcus McGhee isn’t in the same class as the Russian.
He bounced back from some tough losses with wins over Yadong Song and Deiveson Figueiredo, and that form stacks up well against fighters like McGhee, who haven’t been tested against the best in the bantamweight division.
Yan is the –375 favorite, but we’re taking the –125 odds for him to win by decision.

Sharaputdin Magomedov vs. Marc-Andre Barriault
Shara Magomedov is hoping to rebound after his first career loss, and although he didn’t get the decision win over Michael Page, it could have easily gone his way.
The UFC is giving him a good chance to get back to his best against Marc-Andre Barriault, who is a solid fighter, but we can’t see him progressing too far past this level. The Canadian has struggled with going to the next level, and it doesn’t get much easier against Magomedov.
The –700 odds are telling, but there is better value with Magomedov by KO. It pays –125, so include that in your UFC predictions.

Asu Aimabayev vs. Jose Ochoa
Asu Aimabayev is the current –120 favorite, but we are worried about those odds against someone who could make the most of this opportunity.
Jose Ochoa wasn’t meant to fight Aimabayev, and although he’s not an easy fight, it’s there for the taking for the 24-year-old. He’s not yet a household name, but a win on Saturday in Abu Dhabi could change that.
Bettors get even-money for Ochoa, who owns an 8-1 record following a KO win over Cody Durden, and something close to that should see him defeat Aimabayev on the main card.

Nikita Krylov vs. Bogdan Guskov
Our UFC picks for Krylov vs. Guskov have Nikita Krylov winning, but it is a fight that could go either way.
The light heavyweights both bring knockout power, so that’s always tough to predict, but Krylov has 30 wins on his record, so that can’t be overlooked.
He looks to rebound after a tough loss to Dominick Reyes, but it’s good to see him fighting after only entering the Octagon in April. It suggests there was no major damage from the knockout, so we’re happy to pick him to win.
Bookmakers have him at –205 to win, and that’s a fair price with UFC odds.
